Further information about our V-belt pulleys:

Our V-belt pulleys are made of grey cast iron to ISO 4183 or aluminium and supplied pre-bored or with a clamping bush system such as Taper-Lock®. This taper system is used more and more frequently, because there is no need to bore and ream a groove directly into a standard pulley. Taper system pulleys are supplied in different versions, depending on the manufacturer. We differentiate between floor pulleys, solid pulleys and arm type pulleys. These of course weigh considerably less in comparison with floor pulleys. Therefore less mass has to be moved during operation, which can be an advantage. Of course, we can also supply special designs according to your drawings, in steel, etc.

To reduce costs, we recommend using standard pulley diameters when making V-belt drive calculations. If this is not possible for design reasons, you should at least select a standard diameter for the largest pulley in the drive. If you manufacture your own grooved pulleys, please observe standard design and machining processes. The timely replacement of damaged belt pulleys also prevents premature failure of the belt. It is also essential to avoid the belts running with their underside on the base of the groove, as this will soon destroy the belt.

In order to avoid an imbalance, pulleys with diameters of > 125 mm are statically balanced in one plane, quality G 6.3.
